What do the learned Muftis say about the following matter. Our parents have passed away, and we, three sons and three daughters are the heirs. We need to know how the estate of the deceased will be distributed among the heirs according to the Sharia law? Paternal and maternal grandfathers and grandmothers have already expired.
The estate of the applicant's deceased parents will be distributed among all his heirs according to the principle of inheritance in such a way that, from whatever movable and immovable property, gold, silver, jewelry, cash and all kinds of small and large household appliances the deceased left at the time of death, first of all the average burial expenses of the deceased will be paid, and then, if there is any debt owed by the deceased, it will be paid, then if the deceased have any legitimate a will, it will be followed to the extent of one-third (3/1) of the remaining property. And after that, a total of nine (9) equal shares will be made out of what is left, from which each son of the deceased will be given two (2) shares, and one (1) share to each daughter.
