Ruling on Saying the Iqamah in Both Ears of a Newborn Baby Girl

Assalamu Alaikum! I recited the Iqamah in both ears of my newborn baby girl instead of reciting Adhan in the right ear and Iqamah in the left ear. Is there any issue in this? If there is, please inform me of the expiation or correction. May Allah reward you!

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

Reciting the Adhan in the right ear and the Iqamah in the left ear after birth is a Sunnah practice, not a compulsory or obligatory one. Therefore, if the questioner, due to not knowing, recited only the Iqamah in both ears of the newborn baby girl, there is no sin upon him, nor is there any kind of expiation required. Hence, the questioner does not need to worry.
