Counting Tasbihaat with the left hand

Should one count the Fatima-Tasbeeh only on his right hand, and it is contrary to the Sunnah (prophetic method) to use the left hand? One Indian scholar, while explaining Hadith 210 in Abu Dawood Shareef, writes that the holy Prophet (S.A) counted Tasbeehat on his right hand, but it is not Haram or unlawful to use the left hand, however, it is contrary to the Sunnah. Is this correct?

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

It is permissible to count the Fatima-Tasbeeh on either hands, however is it better to count any type of Tasbeehat using the right hand.

کما في سنن أبی داود: عن عبدالله بن عمرو قال: رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يعقد التسبيح، قال ابن قدامة بيمينه اھ ۔ (1/217)
وفي شرح سنن أبی داود: (عبد المحسن العباد): لكن محمد بن قدامة زاد (بيمينه) وهو أیضاً مطابق لما جاء من كون اليمين تستعمل فی الامور المحمودة (إلى قوله) لكن كونه يبدأ التسبيح باليمين ويثنىٰ باليسار لا بأس بذالك اھ ۔(2/207)
وفي حاشية الطحطاوى: وصح أنه ﷺكان يعقد التسبيح بيمينه اھ (1/213)
