Can a sacrifice (Qurbani) be done one behalf of deceased persons? Will they get the rewards of the sacrifice (Qurbani)? Is charity a better alternative for Qurbani?
It is permissible, and also recommended, to perform a sacrifice or charity for any deceased relatives as Isal-e-Sawab. The rewards for those actions will indeed reach the deceased. Both should be done in any appropriate time.
