How should the meat of the sacrifical animal be distributed?

A friend of mine intends to sacrifice three goats for Qurbani. He would like to know if it would be permissible to distribute the meat of one goat to the poor, the meat of one for his relatives, and keep the meat of one for his family, or is it mandatory to do these three different distributions from the meat of each goat.

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

One may distribute the meat according to whichever of the two procedures mentioned in the question.

کما فی الھندیۃ: ویستحب ان یأکل من اضحیتہ ویعطم منہا غیرہ والافضل ان یتصدق بالثلث ویتخذ الثلث ضیافۃ لاقاربہ واصدقائہ ویدخر الثلث ویعطم الغنی والفقیر جمیعًا کذا فی البدائع. (ج:۵ ص: ۳۰۰) واللہ اعلم بالصواب
