There is an evil thing which I am unable to control

There is an evil thing which I am unable to control

I perform Namaz and make Thowba too in Namaz and I like to refrain from all sort of misdeeds and evil things and to a certain extent I refrain and have refrained too. But there is an evil thing which I am unable to control although I myself wish to rectify it. I don’t understand how to refrain from this evil thing of my hand. I would like to know such a Wazeefa so that I abstain from all these things and start practicing the correct path and control myself from approaching every evil thing

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

Let it be known that in order to get saved from all sort of evils, it is necessary to utilize the available leisure time in Aamal which are instrumental in creating closeness and pleasure of Allah, to the extent that one should guard the mind and heart from all type of ill-thoughts, fancies and imaginations since initially the evil emerges in the mind and heart (conceit) and subsequently the other parts of the body set in motion in committing it. Therefore the questioner should primarily get in touch with a reliable Shiekh, who is a follower of Sunnath, and create a spiritual bond (BAI' ATH) for self reform and be vigilant in following the Waza'if given by him, and secondly be particular to utilize the leisure time in engaging in Zikr, Isthighfar, Thilawath and Thasbeehath. After every Salath and before going to sleep recite the following Dua with due concern. Also whenever an ill-thought or an evil-wish get into the mind, recite this Dua in abundance .
Dua is ;
اَللّٰھُمَّ اَسْلَمْتُ نَفْسِیْ اِلَیْکَ وَوَجَّھْتُ وَجْھِیْ اِلَیْکَ وَفَوَّضْتُ اَمْرِیْ اِلَیْکَ وَاَلْجَأْتُ ظَھْرِیْ اِلَیْکَ رَغْبَۃً وَّرَھْبَۃً اِلَیْکَ، لاَ مَلْجَأ وَلاَ مَنْجَاَ مِنْکَ اِلاَّ اِلَیْکَ، اٰمَنْتُ بِکِتَابِکَ الَّذِیْ اَنْزَلْتَ وَبِنَبِیِّکَ الَّذِیْ اَرْسَلْتَ۔
