I have been a government servant for the past 35 years. I have always been very honest regarding my Job, but unfortunately, due to increasing illegal corruption in government departments, I still have not achieved the position which I deserve due to by honesty that I have delivered to them for the past years. Now the problem is that I am getting the chance to achieve the position I deserve but I will have to give them money for it. I would like to know if I should give them money or not. Will this be permissible for me, or will it be considered as a bribe?
In the mentioned scenario, it would be permissible for the questioner to give money in order to attain the position he deserves, however, it would be Haram for them to accept this money since it is Rishwat (bribery), and it will be incumbent upon them to return it to him
And Allah knows best.
if a person eats any haram thing than his 40 days ibadat will not be accepted.
