it is Sunnah for one to spend on his family on the Day of Aashura

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmathullahi Wa Barakaathuhu!

I came to know that it is Sunnah for one to spend on his family on the Day of Aashura. My question/confusion is when the time of Aashura starts? After the Sun sets on 9th of Muharram & till the Sun sets on 10th? Should we perform the Aamaal of spending on our families during this time? Will it be counted if we spend lot for the dinner/night meals on 10th of Muharram which actually becomes 11th as soon as the Sun sets? Please clarify. Jazakallahu Khaira. Wassalam

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

The Day of Aashura remains from the Sunset of 9th of Muharram to the Sunset of 10th Muharram. The night of 11th Muharram is not included in it.
