Can a grave be made out of marble or any other type of stone

Can a grave be made out of marble or any other type of stone? My uncle was informing us that marble does the remembrance of Allah and he wants to make his son’s grave out of marble. Is this true? And from what should the grave be made of (dirt, stone etc.)?

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

It is Sunna to make a grave from raw dirt. The method of making a grave is that the amount of dirt that has been dug out of the earth should be poured back on the grave in the shape of a hump (like that of a camel). It is Makrooh to pour more dirt that this. However, it is not permissible to make a grave out of marble or any other type of stone. This should be avoided.

کمافی الھندیۃ: ویکرہ أن یزاد علی التراب الذی أخرج من القبر ( الی قولہ) ویسنم القبر قدر الشبر و لایربع ولایجصص الخ (۱/ ۱۶۶)
و فی الدر المختار وحاشية ابن عابدين (رد المحتار): (ويسنم) ندبا. وفي الظهيرية وجوبا قدر شبر (ولا يجصص) للنهي عنه (ولا يطين، ولا يرفع عليه بناء.الخ (2/ 237) و اللہ أعلم بالصواب
