In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent and the Most Merciful
Let it be known that neither did the Messenger of Allah (S.A) himself, nor did any of his noble companions (R.A), the Tabi’een or those after them celebrated his blessed birth. The fact that it was not celebrated by any of the people in these eras is indeed concrete proof that it is not an act of the Sunnah, and cannot be considered as an Islamic tradition. Hence, it is an act of innovation to celebrate the birth of Allah's Messenger considering is as an act of Sunnah. Furthermore, the gatherings that are held nowadays for the purpose of celebrating his birth consists of many illegitimate actions, hence one must refrain from participating in such gatherings.
