Someone from Tablighi Jamat has mentioned an incident in his speech that once the messenger of Allah (S.A) asked Aisha (R.A), "Who has the best home?" to which she replied, "I do, because you live in my home." Then the messenger of Allah (S.A) said, "No, in fact, the one with the best home is he who someone from his home has left in the part of Allah, because Allah himself is present in that home." Is this incident authentic? If not, then what is the ruling on someone who mentions these kinds of incidents in their speeches? Must he renew his Iman?
After thoroughly searching through the authentic books of Ahadith, no such Hadith was found in which this incident was mentioned. For this reason, one should not ascribe this incident to the holy Prophet ﷺ without having proper knowledge or having done proper research on this narration. Nonetheless, if due to lack of knowledge, someone mentions this incident in their speech, it would not have any effect on his Iman.
And Allah knows best.
