Women gathering in a house to conduct a program to celebrate the Melad

A new custom has started nowadays. Women of the locality gather in a house to celebrate on the day of Melad. Their voices can be heard all over the locality. Is this permissible to do on the day of Melad?

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

It is not permissible for women to gather to conduct a program and sing Naats etc. in such an elevated manner to celebrate the Melad. This is indeed an innovation and must be avoided.
