What do the learned Ulemas and the respected Mufthis say in this regard? How is it to say Assalathu Wassalamu Alaika Ya Rasoolullah? A friend of mine is of the opinion that by saying so, the fact that Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam is Omnipresent and Omniscent will become obvious, which is Shirk whereas I think that saying so is not Shirk, instead, Angels convey my Salams in the presence of Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam and I don't recite thinking Omnipresent and Omniscent. But I have the belief that Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam hears the Salams of his accepted servants while he is in the holy grave whereas Salams of sinners like myself are conveyed in the presence of Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam by the angels. I will be so grateful if you could please expalin this matter.
It is very well understood through the following narrations that if a person (accepted or non-accepted) sends Durood and Salam to Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam from any corner of the world, it is delivered to his presence through the angels and if a person sends Durood and Salam standing in front of the sacred Rowdha, Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam himself listens and answers to it. Where as doing so with the concept of omnipresent and omniscent or accepting that concept will resemble with Ahl e Bid’ath and strengthen them hence it is necessary to abstain from it.
