whether Tha’weez is permissible for a worldly or any other purpose ?

Please inform me in the light of Qur’an and Hadees whether Tha’weez is permissible for a worldly or any other purpose ? Those who wear Tha’weez and go around are under protection and nothing will happen to them. It means these people have taken refuge on Tha’weez instead of Alllah’s protection. If this is the main purpose of Tha’weez then what (type of ) good purpose could be there in this? If Tha’weez is Qur’an then it should be recited or, …. packed and taken and go around? Tha’weez is Haram or Halal? In the light of Qur’an and Hadees? Let references be in Urdu since I do not understand Arabic.

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

Those Amulets which do not contain wordings of Kufr or Shirk, or that which are not incomprehensive but, include words of Qur'an and Hadees and used only for accepted purposes, are permissible according to the Shari'a. The idea behind using such amulets is not at all to say that the user has come out from the safety of Allah Tha'ala and found shelter in the safety of the amulet, but this is only to get the blessings of those sacred words and avail the benefit of them as is done in doing Damm. (spelling for diseases).

مأخَذُ الفَتوی

کما في الشامية: ولا بأس بالمعإذا ت إذا كتب فیها القرآن، أو أسماء الله تعالى، ويقال رقاه الراقي رقيا ورقية إذا عوذه ونفث فی عوذته قالوا: إنما تكره العوذة إذا كانت بغير لسان العرب، ولا يدرى ما هو ولعله يدخله سحر أو كفر أو غير ذلك، وأما ما كان من القرآن أو شيء من الدعوات فلا بأس به اهـ ۔(6/ 363)
