الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
The person who does any sort of worship, whether physical or monetary, through which the worshiper attains rewards, can transfer the reward to any soul, whether dead or alive. This is know as Isal-e-Sawab. The recitation of Qur’an is indeed a recommendable act of worship to be performed for the purpose of Isal-e-Sawab, since it carries lots of rewards, as mentioned clearly in Ahadith.
However, thinking that the recitation of the Qur'an is the only act of worship that can be performed for Isal-e-Sawab, or that it is essential to hold collective gatherings of the recitation of the Qur'an in order to fulfill this purpose is incorrect.
