How much water did the holy Prophetﷺ use when performing Wuzu (ablution) and Ghusl (bath)? Please mention the amount in liters.
It is mentioned in books of Ahadith that the holy Prophetﷺ used a Mudd (i.e. 796.068g (0.796068 liters)) of water to performing Wuzu, and a Saa’ (i.e. 3.184272kg (3.184272 liters)) of water to performing Ghusl. However, one does not have to adhere to these exact measurements when performing Wuzu and Ghusl. With that being said, even though the least amount of water for Wuzu and Ghusl (as used by the holy Prophetﷺ) has been mentioned in some narrations, it is still permissible for one to use more or less than this amount of water according to his own necessity.
And Allah knows best.
