Is Munkar and Nakeer a reality, or myth?

Assalam o alaikom
sir with kind respect please tell me about MUNKAR AND NAKEER.Are they fact? in our area it is told by many persons that They are only fiction not a fact. are they realy come in Qabr and ask qustions for past life i.e. Who is your God,what is your religion, who is your prophet etc?

الجوابُ حامِدا ًو مُصلیِّا ً

The angels, Munkar and Nakeer, and their questioning in the grave are indeed a reality which has been discussed about in many Ahadith. Hence, it is essential for a Muslim to believe in it.
